Starting this September, CrossFit Main Line is adding two new ways to get coached: one-on-one personal training and habit-based nutrition coaching. Both are available to members and non-members alike, and both are built around a simple idea we have held since 2012 — you make the most progress when someone who knows you is guiding the work.
Group classes build fitness. Personal coaching accelerates results. That is the whole premise. Nothing about our one-hour coached classes is changing. Personal training and nutrition coaching exist to complement your classes, never to replace them.
Why We Are Adding This
Our group classes work. The whiteboard brief, the warm-up, the skill practice, the workout, the community around you — that format has helped people across Ardmore, Plymouth Meeting, and Wayne get strong and stay consistent for over a decade.
But some goals benefit from focused, individual attention. Maybe you want to finally get a strict pull-up. Maybe an old injury needs careful, guided progression. Maybe you are brand new and want a running start before joining classes. Or maybe your training is dialed in and nutrition is the missing piece. One-on-one coaching gives you a dedicated hour where the entire plan is about you.
How Personal Training Works
Your first session is $95 and includes two parts: a 15-minute goal-setting consultation, where you and your coach map out where you are and where you want to go, and a full 60-minute training session so you can experience exactly what the coaching feels like.
From there, you choose a 4-week package based on how often you want to train:
- 1 session per week — $100 per session
- 2 sessions per week — $95 per session
- 3 sessions per week — $90 per session
- 4 sessions per week — $85 per session, with nutrition coaching included
There is no long-term contract. You commit four weeks at a time, and you continue because it is working — not because a contract says you have to. Full details are on our personal training page.
Nutrition Coaching Without the Calorie Counting
Nutrition coaching is $99 every four weeks, and it is deliberately different from what most people have tried before. There is no calorie counting. No macro tracking. No food logging. No rigid meal plans.
Instead, it is habit-based. We coach five simple habits that hold up in real life:
- Build the Plate — a simple way to put together meals that support your training
- Eat With Awareness — slowing down enough to notice what and how you eat
- Plan for Real Life — making the week work even when the week gets messy
- Fuel Performance — eating to support energy, recovery, and progress
- Respond, Don't Restart — handling an off day without scrapping the whole plan
That last one matters most. Most nutrition attempts fail not because people lack willpower, but because one imperfect day turns into an abandoned plan. Habit-based coaching teaches you to respond and move forward instead of starting over every Monday.
A Weekly Rhythm You Can Keep
Nutrition coaching follows a steady weekly cadence, so you always know what is coming:
- Monday — a short lesson on the habit you are building
- Wednesday — a mid-week check-in with your coach
- Sunday — a brief reflection on what worked and what to adjust
No guesswork, no radio silence. Just consistent, supported progress, one habit at a time.
Spots Are Limited
Here is the honest constraint: only 8 personal training sessions are available per week across our schedule. We would rather keep the coaching quality high than pack the calendar. If you have been thinking about one-on-one coaching, September is the time to claim a spot before they fill.
Is This Right for You?
Personal training and nutrition coaching are a strong fit if you:
- Want faster progress on a specific goal
- Are returning from injury or time away and want guided, careful progression
- Are new to fitness and want confidence before stepping into a group class
- Have your training handled but need help making nutrition stick
And if group classes are already giving you everything you need — keep doing exactly what you are doing. Our gym classes remain the heart of CrossFit Main Line.
How to Get Started
