Group classes work. They are the backbone of what has kept CrossFit Main Line growing across the Main Line since 2012. But some goals need a different level of attention, and starting this September, the Plymouth Meeting location is piloting something new: one-on-one personal training paired with habit-based nutrition coaching.
If you have been considering personal training in Plymouth Meeting, here is everything to know before you book, including why spots are genuinely limited.
Who One-on-One Coaching Is Actually For
Personal training is not for a special category of athlete. It is for specific situations where individual attention changes the outcome:
- You are stuck on a goal. You have been training, but a lift, a skill, or a body composition goal has not moved in months. A coach who watches only you can find the gap that group programming cannot.
- You are returning from an injury. Coming back after surgery, physical therapy, or a long layoff calls for a plan built around your body, progressed at your pace, with someone checking every rep.
- You need accountability that does not bend. A standing appointment with a coach who planned a session specifically for you is a commitment of a different weight than a class you can quietly skip.
If one of those sounds like your situation, keep reading. If you simply want consistent, coached fitness, the group classes on our Plymouth Meeting gym page remain the best starting point.
The $95 First Session, Explained
Your first session costs $95 and comes in two parts:
- A 15-minute goal consult. You and your coach sit down and get specific: where you are, where you want to be, what has gotten in the way before.
- A 60-minute training session. A real workout, built around what you just discussed, so you experience exactly what one-on-one coaching feels like before committing to anything further.
No long-term contract decision on day one. You train, you talk, and then you decide together what the right plan looks like.
How Ongoing Packages Work
After your first session, training runs in four-week packages, priced per session between $85 and $100 depending on how often you train each week. Train more frequently and the per-session rate comes down. Train four times per week and nutrition coaching is included in the package.
Prefer to focus on nutrition alone? Habit-based nutrition coaching is available on its own for $99 every four weeks.
Nutrition Coaching Without Counting Calories
Here is what this program is not: calorie counting, food logging, or an app that makes you photograph every meal. Most people have tried tracking. Most people have also stopped tracking, because it demands time they do not have. You do not need more motivation. You need habits that fit your life.
Instead, this coaching is built on five simple habits, practiced until they become how you eat:
- Build the Plate. A simple way to construct meals without weighing or measuring anything.
- Eat With Awareness. Slowing down enough to notice what and how much you are actually eating.
- Plan for Real Life. Strategies for busy weeks, travel, and restaurants, because your life will not pause for a meal plan.
- Fuel Performance. Eating to support your training, so sessions feel strong instead of depleted.
- Respond, Don't Restart. The skill that changes everything: handling an off day without declaring the whole week ruined.
Habits compound. Tracking apps get deleted. That is the entire philosophy.
Why Only 8 Sessions Are Available Each Week
This is a pilot program at the Plymouth Meeting location, and it is deliberately small: 8 personal training sessions available per week, total. Coaching quality drops when a coach's calendar is overloaded, and this program is being built for depth, not volume. The practical takeaway is simple: if the program fits your situation, book the goal session sooner rather than later, because a full week is genuinely full.
Questions Worth Asking Before You Book
- Do I need CrossFit experience? No. Sessions are built entirely around you, whatever your starting point.
- Can I combine personal training with classes? Yes. Many people use one-on-one sessions to work on specific weaknesses while attending group classes.
- What if my schedule changes? Packages renew every four weeks, so the plan can adjust with your life in four-week blocks.
- Is this available at other locations? The program is piloting at Plymouth Meeting first.
