Instructor Swap

CrossFit walks into a pilates studio

A few years ago, our team at CrossFit Main Line was approached by Brooke Goldstein, a local fitness blogger and influencer known for her dedication to exploring every fitness avenue across the Main Line. Brooke has visited CFML numerous times, capturing videos, interviewing coaches, and delving into our community’s strengths. This time, Brooke proposed something different: an “instructor mix-up” experiment. What would happen if CrossFit coaches tried Pilates, boxing coaches experienced yoga, and vice versa? We invite you to discover the fascinating results. Explore how CFML’s team and our WOD Bomb approach impressed even the most seasoned fitness blogger and fitness coach.

“CrossFit Main Line, which has three locations (Wayne, Ardmore and Plymouth Meeting), may be best known for their strong community. In that same regard, owners, Merrilee and Daniel Davidson, have long been doing consistent instructor mix ups with their CrossFit coaches. These “WOD Bombs” as they like to call them, are a way for their team to grow as coaches all while supporting other local gyms. Studio owners should take note! Every quarter, the team at CrossFit Main Line “steps outside their four walls and explores different approaches.” Not only does the CrossFit team show up (and pay) for a class, they support the other gym by purchasing their apparel and treating them to lunch after class. The WOD Bombs give the CrossFit coaches a different gym experience while also providing that gym with invaluable feedback from seasoned fitness professionals...”

After learning about the WOD Bombs, I knew Chelsey and the CFML team would love my idea of an instructor swap. And did they ever.…” Read More

Maximize Your Strength:
A Week of Intense Workouts and Strategic Recovery

This week, we conclude our strength cycle by maxing out on back squats and deadlifts. Given the intensity of these lifts, we’re complementing them with suitable workouts to ensure optimal recovery and continued progress. Monday and Wednesday will push our anaerobic capacity, aligning with our preparation for the upcoming CrossFit Open in late February. Tuesday and Thursday present opportunities to refine complex gymnastics movements like muscle-ups and pistols. Each session holds significance, aiming to leave you fatigued yet empowered, ready to tackle the next day’s challenges. Commit to attending every workout this week, as each one contributes to your overall improvement and performance. Let’s give it our all and watch the results follow suit.

At CFML, we understand the intensity of the CrossFit Open can be overwhelming. That’s why we take a unique approach to keep things enjoyable and manageable. Every Friday during the Open, you can tackle the workouts during your regular class time, maintaining your routine and alleviating stress. On the final Friday, we come together to support and cheer on our fellow athletes during the evening class times as they conquer the workout. It’s a time to celebrate their accomplishments with some well-deserved beers. This year, each of our locations has something special planned: Wayne will head to a local bar, Plymouth will host a cookout, and Ardmore will enjoy Athlete Nick Pizzo’s BBQ skills. Bring your energy, camaraderie, and let’s make the most of this exciting time together. REGISTER HERE
