When and how did you get started with us? September, 2016. We had just moved to PA, and my husband and I needed a place to work out. We were previously doing personal training in a CrossFit facility, and our trainer suggested we check out local CrossFit gyms. R5 was the first and only facility we needed to look at. From day one, we both felt immediately welcome, got a great workout and met even greater people.

Favorite workout? Favorite is a stretch, but movements I complain the least about include box jumps, burpees, kb swings, push presses, & cleans (minus the constant “knees out” reminder).

Least favorite workout? Anything involving snatches and/or OHS

What’s the best part about working out with the 930am/4:30pm crew? The camaraderie. Before CrossFit, I shied away from group classes and hardly ever spoke to other gym members. At R5, people genuinely want to see you do well.

What’s the wallpaper on your phone right now? My girls (McKenna & Paige) from Halloween 2015 – a rare pic where they’re both smiling.

What’s your most frequently used emoji? I’m old and dull… I don’t use emojis.

What’s the first CD you ever bought? Probably the Bodyguard Soundtrack

Best Mother’s Day gift? Sorry Paigey, but the “Mommy & Me” plate McKenna made in preschool. I proudly have it on display in our kitchen.

What’s the last thing you searched for on Google? Women’s cycling jerseys. Bill and I are preparing for a Backroads cycling trip to Spain & France this summer. Not sure if Europe is ready for two Cumby’s rocking spandex!

What’s your favorite flavor of Starburst? Strawberry

If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why? An elephant… elephants are awesome! They’re smart, social, take care of each other, and most importantly are huge (so hopefully no other animal would mess with me)!

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why? Definitely blush… I’m constantly embarrassing myself.
