Tyler Hoffman

Congrats to Tyler Hoffman on September Athlete of the month, 1.5 year into to CrossFit and never looking back!

  1. When and how did you get started with us?

I got started at CFML about 1.5 years ago after I decided to look for something outside of the commercial box gyms. Now 1.5 years later, I love it and can’t see myself being anywhere else.

  1. If you could only do one CrossFit movement for the rest of your life, what would it be?

It would have to be cleans.  I love the combination of pure strength and explosiveness that you need to pull off a heavy clean.

  1. What 3 things would you bring to a deserted island?

My first would be my favorite book, The Name of the Wind.  The other two items would probably be something practical like a knife for survival and waterproof matches.

  1. Favorite workouts/least favorite workout?

My favorite workout is the Main Line Ardmore anniversary workout with power cleans and box jumps or pretty much anything with cleans.  My least favorite workout is anything with burpees, they’re death.

  1. If you had to pick a TV show for be your life, what show would it be?

I’m a big fantasy nerd so it would probably be Game of Thrones.  Dragons, swords, and magic, what could be better?

  1. What is your spirit animal?

Probably a tiger. I don’t have any deep reason for it, I just have always thought they were pretty cool.

  1. What’s you favorite cheat food?

Queso Fundido from Plaza Azteca or Mexican food in general.

  1. What superpower would you posses?

I would have to pick teleportation.  It would be awesome to be able to be anywhere in the world in the blink of an eye.

  1. If you wrote a book what would it be called?

I love fantasy novels so it would probably be something corny like “The Curse of the Dragon”.
