Before Crossfit, running was Betsy’s go-to fitness regimen. After the birth of her second daughter, friends encouraged her to give Crossfit a shot. Right away she knew Crossfit would be a solution for life long fitness.
Crossfit provided Betsy an opportunity to show her daughters a mommy who fights for one more rep, keeps up with the boys, is part of a community, and is strong.
Betsy grew up in Beavercreek, Ohio. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors of Arts in Exercise Science. She also interned in the Pediatric Exercise Physiology Lab at the University of Kentucky, where she discovered her passion for educating children. Post-graduation she earned a Certified Personal Trainer designation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Betsy has since received her Health and Physical Education teaching certificate from Eastern University. She has taught in the Tredyffrin-Easttown school district and coaches both girls Soccer and Basketball at Valley Forge Middle School.
