Chelsey has always had a competitive spirit. Growing up, she was a competitive swimmer and always enjoyed the thrill of pushing herself both physically and mentally. After meeting her husband in college, they eventually got married and started traveling the world. In 2005, she and her husband landed in Japan where they would spend the next 6 ½ years. Chelsey was never the stereotypical “gym go’er” and was always looking for new ways to push herself. She began running as a way to keep herself in shape and ended up entering several long-distance races. Unfortunately, although running was giving her the competitive fulfillment she loved, it was not as kind to her body. After trying everything from spin classes to aerobics, she finally decided to try this new thing people where doing called CrossFit. And this was the beginning of the end for her. Chelsey immediately fell in love with both the sport and the community deciding that this thing called CrossFit was what she wanted to devote herself too.
Over the last 10 years, Chelsey has had the opportunity to work with some pretty amazing people. She has coached in several gyms both in Texas and Pennsylvania and has had the opportunity to compete in CrossFit Regionals both as an individual and as a member of a team. She loves that CrossFit has brought the importance of health and wellness to the forefront again and takes pride in even having a small influence on people living healthier more productive lives.
